New Beginnings Start When You Find Yourself at A Dead End

Fact: Sooner or later, everyone hits a dead end.

Have you ever had a dream of becoming an author? Then, you realize that it’s just not going to happen. That is a dead end “writing” dream.

Usually in life, when we reach a dead end, we turn around to take another route.

One of the best times for figuring out what you truly want is right after you hit a dead end… you have to let go of what you can’t change.

Why? Because it is what it is.

Let’s discuss this in writing terms…After you’ve hit a dead end, you need to move on by turning the page. The dead end you’ve just experienced is not THE END. It’s time for your “writing” dream to begin again in a new and different way—new goals. You’re at a point in your story where one chapter makes a smooth transition into the next chapter. This allows you to re-write or edit your story and make progress to the final chapter.

When you reach a dead end, you have to do 3 things:

  1. Accept it.
  2. Learn from it. AND…
  3. Move on.

Fact: A dead end is really a new beginning.

You need to build and grow something new…now.

What matters is what you choose to do from this point on. Now, is the time to take your next step or to take some action.  There’s always room for a new idea, a new step…a new beginning (dah). One last thought…Are you stuck in a dead end? Can this dead end be turned into a new beginning?

We all have a choice to make…What will yours be?

  1. Scattered thoughts. Kick the bucket list. What really matters? Memories or the future? Looking back or looking forward? What am i trying to find? You write so well. You always make me think. But i am starting to focus on ‘dostadning’ (Swedish death-cleaning). Maybe i need to find parts of my past to pass along rather than leaving too much for anyone to deal with…
