Self-Publishing is:

  • Cost Effective
  • Relatively Fast
  • Higher Earnings
  • Author Controls the Publishing Process
  • Plenty Options

Is Self-Publishing Right for You?

Cheryl Robinson will show you how to create a professional product that can proudly stand next to traditionally published eBooks and print books.

The workshop was held and I think everyone learned some good information, including The Four Basics of Traditional and Self Publishing: editing; copy editing; cover design; and layout formatting.

Workshop Feedback

Was the workshop content appropriate and informative?

Yes, VERY! Its great to hear from someone who has done it, about the trials and tribulations, and what you learned along the way.

Can you use what you learned in the workshop?

Absolutely. Your presentation makes me see how do-able it really is. Get a book finished and get it up onto Kindle so quickly, and voila! Sell books! Of course, getting folks to go there is the next and difficult job!

Would you recommend this workshop to other writers?

I certainly would. It would easily expand into a half-day or more with a bit more hands-on stuff.

I felt the workshop content was definitely appropriate and informative.  It provided lots of general and specific information for writers, covered self publishing as well as other methods for publishing.  Found the Amazon information particularly interesting.  I also thought it was encouraging, because it gave a step by step approach.  The publishing minefield is daunting for those that have not done it before.  I actually think she should use the presentation as a basis for her next book.  I think all that information in one place would be a great resource guide for newbees. I will certainly use what I learned and feel more confident about the process. And, would definitely recommend it to others.

Was the workshop content appropriate and informative?

I thought Cheryl Holloway’s workshop was outstanding, and particularly her delivery. She combined humor and personal experiences along with professional advice which seemed to draw in her audience. I only wish she had been scheduled to speak a little longer since I think she had much more to offer our group!

Can you use what you learned in the workshop?

I can definitely use what I learned in the workshop, and her handout provided a useful reference guide for later.

Would you recommend this workshop to other writers?

Yes, I would recommend this workshop to others. I’ve been to similar workshops where the presenter overwhelms the audience with too much information. I thought Cheryl picked the right number of topics to cover and provided thorough explanations and additional suggested resources.
